Our City staff work hard behind the scenes to grow, plant, and care for the stunning floral displays you see in the planters, hanging baskets and flower beds across the community. From greenhouse to garden, they help bring that special summertime feeling to life.

Last week, five baby skunks were found alone in a Markham backyard near Milliken Mills. After 48 hours of careful watch and no sign of mom, our Animal Services team stepped in.

They’re now safe and headed to Shades of Hope Wildlife Refuge for care until they’re ready to return to the wild.

Thank you to our amazing Animal Services team for always looking out for the smallest among us.
