Road closure notification Main Street Markham N will be closed from Highway 7 to Bullock Drive, starting Friday, June 20, 1:30 PM until Saturday, June 21, 11:59 PM for the Markham Village Music Festival.

 

Please plan your travel accordingly.

The City of Markham is expanding its Administrative Monetary Penalty System (AMPS) to streamline the handling of minor by-law infractions. This means faster, fairer resolutions for minor by-law infractions without going to court.

York Region is rehabilitating a culvert on Warden Avenue south of Major Mackenzie Drive East. Culverts allow water and wildlife to pass freely under the road.

 

Duration: Early summer 2025 to summer 2026

  • Culvert work will occur in 2025
  • Work will cease for the winter months and remaining repair work and restoration will commence in spring 2026

Speeding may cost you more than a ticket. Automated Speed Enforcement on Regional roads contributes to reducing collisions by 48%.
