1.MARCH ROAD SAFETY: March is a month filled with festive celebrations, family vacations, and increased travel. We are launching public safety initiatives to raise awareness about responsible driving and pedestrian safety  
 
 
 
If you come across a sick or dead bird, protect yourself from avian influenza. Avoid touching the bird and keep pets away from birds and their droppings.
 
There are reports of suspected avian flu affecting geese in the Markham area, specifically:

  • Please stay cautious and keep your pets on a leash.

Thanks to the Markham Dog Alliance for hosting the Pups For Paws 3.0, an exceptional event that beautifully celebrates both community and canine companionship in the unique setting of a greenhouse.
Honoured to host the 2025 Chinese Heritage Month Celebration with “The Origin and Development of Peking Opera” together with Gao Feng Guan Cultural Arts Centre, supported by the Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Toronto and CCOAC and Honorary Chair Mayor Frank Scarpitti.
Deeply honoured and humbled to be the Honorary Chair for the 1st Markham Cup hosted by Toronto Xiangqi Association during the Chinese Heritage Month. Congratulations to all the winners of the Xiangqi competition.
