Markham set a record in 2024 by authorizing permits for 4,216 housing units, surpassing the target of 3,667. Yet, the Province’s use of CMHC's data shows only 1,825 housing starts, risking $15M in provincial funds. We did the work. The counting methodology needs to change to receive our fair share.

1. UPDATE: ADDITIONAL CHARGES LAID IN ROCK THROWING INCIDENTS : https://ow.ly/bklZ50UUoGU

2. There are two easy steps you can take to help police solve crimes in your neighbourhood.

-Register your security cameras and learn more at http://yrp.ca/RegisterMyCam Knowing where video footage may be available could help us close an investigation quicker. Registering your camera does not give police access to it, it just lets investigators know where potentially helpful cameras are located.

-Visit the Community Safety Data Portal at http://yrp.ca/CSDP to submit crime tips and digital evidence. The portal gives you access to community crime statistics, trends and data.

3.WARNING TO YORK REGION RESIDENTS WITH RE-EMERGENCE OF GRANDPARENT SCAMS: https://ow.ly/1Jf450UVSW6
