I was pleased to continue hosting the Markham Helping Hands Food Bank Drive Event as the need for support from food banks persists beyond Thanksgiving and Christmas. Hunger doesn't stop after the holiday season.

A heartfelt thanks to our community partners and residents who supported this food drive and delivered much-needed food to the Aaiin Community Centre last Sunday during my New Year Levee Event.

Please continue donating to your local food bank year-round to help those facing food insecurity.

Thank you for your kindness.

Safety Reminder: Pedestrians on Rodick Road

We've observed pedestrians walking on Rodick Road (between Apple Creek and Hollingham) where there is no sidewalk on the east side. This is very dangerous, especially with winter approaching and reduced visibility.

Please use the sidewalk on the west side of the road for your safety. Let's keep both pedestrians and motorists safe this season.

If you have any municipal inquiry or concern, you can send an email to our Contact Centre at customerservice@markham.ca or call 905.477.5530.
