Safety Reminder: Pedestrians on Rodick Road
We've observed pedestrians walking on Rodick Road (between Apple Creek and Hollingham) where there is no sidewalk on the east side. This is very dangerous, especially with winter approaching and reduced visibility.
Please use the sidewalk on the west side of the road for your safety. Let's keep both pedestrians and motorists safe this season. |

York Region officially welcomes Eric Jolliffe as new Regional Chair
The Regional Municipality of York is pleased to officially welcome Eric Jolliffe as the new Regional Chair. Jolliffe, who was appointed to the role by the provincial government, previously served as the Chief of Police for York Regional Police, brings a wealth of experience in public service and community leadership to this crucial role.

York Regional Police (YRP) News:
MISSING PERSON - Investigators with the York Regional Police #5 District Criminal Investigations Bureau are seeking public assistance in locating a missing person from the City of Markham.
40-year-old Richard PRIDHAM was last seen on Saturday December 21, 2024, in the area of Main Street Markham North and David Street, in the City of Markham. Richard is described as Caucasian, 6’1”, blonde hair with buzz cut, blue eyes, a light complexion, with tattoos on his legs and on the side of his neck. Richard was last seen wearing a grey bicycle helmet, clear protective eye glasses, grey winter jacket, and red hooded sweater.
He has a black e-bike and travels with a small black dog. If you have any information please contact 5CIB at 905-830-0303 ext 7541.
