Live streaming of the public session of Council and Committee of the Whole meetings is available on the day of the meeting from 9 a.m. until the close of the meeting. Past sessions are also available at york.ca/councilandcommittee

Staff increased the green time at Box Grove By-Pass and Copper Creek for the Fully Protected westbound left turn arrow movement during the morning, afternoon, and off-peak travel periods, to improve traffic flow along the side streets. 

 

The primary focus is to optimize traffic flow along all movements, including the heavy northbound and southbound traffic along Box Grove Bypass/ Ninth Line.

What a pleasure to welcome home our Markham Olympic and Paralympic athletes last weekend as we celebrated their achievements of representing Canada in Paris!

Applications for Major Community Events, Culture Programs and Events and Seniors Clubs are opening on September 23 - October 23

Temporary turn restrictions at the intersection of Yonge Street and John Street on weekdays beginning Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. until Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at 6 p.m.

 

Southbound and westbound turn restrictions are required to accommodate lane closures for hydro work led by the Region’s contractor for the Yonge North Subway Extension project. Lane closures will occur weekdays after 9:30 a.m. reopening at 6 p.m. Two lanes will be maintained in the northbound direction.

 

York Region is adding highly visible Slow Down pavement markings in front of schools and senior zones to provide improved visibility and guidance for drivers.
